Customer Menu Option "5" or F9 from On Screen Account Manager
This allows you to edit the letters that are printed via the On Screen Account Manager, payment screen, customer list form letters and overdue customer list form letters. There are 2 list boxes on this screen, one is for regular letters which are printed and edited internally with the WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) RTO Pro Word Processor. The bottom list box is for letters which are edited and printed with Microsoft Word. Note: to use the Word type letters you must have Microsoft Word installed on your computer also.
To edit a letter select which letter to edit and push the Edit Letter button.
Regular letters are created and edited with the RTO Pro Word Processor . The RTO Pro Word Processor is much like many other word processors such as MS Word. The RTO Pro Word Processor is recommended for creating letters for use in RTO Pro. It is faster at printing letters than using MS Word.
To insert a field into a letter click on the "Insert Field" button while in the RTO Pro Word Processor. A field is information that will be filled in for each customer when the letter is printed such as name, address, acct# etc.
Word letters Word will be started and a pre-made template will be displayed. You can customize the template for your store and fill in the body of the letter. To insert a field to be filled in by RTO Pro, click on the Insert Letter Field button when you are at the spot you want to insert a field. After you are through editing or creating the letter, save it then click on the Return to RTO Pro button.
